Pear Tree House is a delightful Grade II listed cottage dating
back to 1750, ideally situated in the heart of the lovely village
of Ruswarp, just a mile outside Whitby on the stunning North Yorkshire
Coast. The cottage comprises four generous bedrooms sleeping upto
6 adults and 2 children. The cottage has a cosy and welcoming interior
which is furnished to a very high standard and equipped with everything
you could need together with the luxuries that will make your stay
extra special.

Tree House is perfectly located for trips to the seaside and the
North Yorkshire Moors, situated just 5 minutes by car from Sandsend,
10 minutes from Robin Hoods Bay and 15 minutes from Heartbeat country.
Ruswarp is a pretty little village a mile inland from Whitby on
the banks of the River Esk. The butchers and Post Office opposite
the cottage sell everything you could ever want including bacon,
egg & sausage sandwiches for a pound! The Bridge Inn, less than
100yds away, is a traditional and friendly village pub with an open
fire and a range of good ales.
Ruswarp also benefits from having a railway station that provides
scenic trips into Whitby and inland up the Esk Valley. Stream trains
travel along the line linking the North Yorkshire Railway and Whitby
at the weekend and during the summer season. Rowing boats can be
hired on the river and fishing permits can be obtained for the River
Esk. Opposite the boats there is a café with play area, crazy
golf and a 9 hole golf course. For serious golfers, Whitby Golf
Club is just 5 minutes drive away and offers stunning views of the
coastline, Whitby and the Abbey.
